I enjoy the art of curating music immensely and began DJ-ing over ten years ago.

As DJ BAQVAS, I love throwing down punchy tracks, with an emphasis on South Asian and Arab electronic music. Occasionally, I can be found DJ-ing my vintage collection of Pakistani & Indian vinyl. Overall, I specialize in highlighting Bay Area local artists, artists from non-western countries, and simply artists who are making music that stands out in a BIG way.

From 2011-2015, I was DJ Crimewave at KDVS 90.3FM. Since 2015, I’ve been DJ BAQVAS, and was at the amazing San Francisco based community radio station BFF.fm from 2015-2023. You can find my archived BFF.fm shows here. Occasionally, I guest DJ on KPFA 94.1FM for APEX Express, a show that features Asians and Asian Americans.
